Here we go! The boys of summer are back, as the 2012 Major League Baseball season starts now. This also means lazy days playing catch, fielding grounders and hitting clinic. It means sitting out from the bleachers to catch some sun, see the folks walk by and take in a game. It means hot dogs, peanuts and suds to wash it all down.
However, most significant, it means we’re all equivalent, beginning out exactly zero games supporting. Could this be the year my beloved Cubs finally overcome the curse? Let us hope so.
By the way, if you have never had a opportunity to listen to James Earl Jones reciting”Casey at the Bat” or Harry Caray singing”Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” you’re in for a real treat.
